When I open up my eyes I am on the other side,
Dreaming of a spiralled face eating fish in a panicked state
It pulls me down, keeps me away from the sunlight,
Crumbles my faith in the moonlight,
Presses a thumb in my wounds and falls back down to eat with worms
It ate my legs and went down stream,
We killed some time and moved further east -
Found you can't wander straight lines,
Or skip through the evening's fights
Addicted to sun, you'll end up where you've begun
Spend a day in the sand, crawling through a wasteland
Forget who you are, get back to the centre and ride
But it ain't all bad, because there's a place,
Between extremities - a change in pace
You'll get there real soon; that comfortable cocoon
Don't tremble too fast, we're all on the same path
When I open up my eyes I'm still on the other side,
But dreaming of a new found place, swallowing me with its embrace
It pulls me in, gives me the air of a new day,
Sets things back into their right place,
Shows me the ways of the wind and brings me into hollow worlds
Spend a day in the sand, crawling through a wasteland
Forget who you are, get back to the centre and ride it out
